Creative Memories
Creating thoughtful, flexible content for a longstanding memory-keeping brand
The starting point
Creative Memories helps people preserve photos, document meaningful moments, and tell the stories of their lives through scrapbooking.
Over two years of weekly collaboration, I helped translate the warmth, creativity, and community behind the brand into video, photography, motion graphics, and a more dependable content process.

What they needed
Creative Memories launches new products and collections throughout the year, creating an ongoing need for fresh visual content across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
The marketing team already had strong ideas and a clear brand. What they needed was someone who could bring those ideas to life with consistent production quality, accurate product visuals, and a process that made ongoing creation easier to manage.
My role began with video editing and quickly expanded into shooting, lighting, photography, motion graphics, studio planning, and content organization.
Bringing the vision to life
The visual approach changed depending on the purpose of the content.
Educational videos needed to be clear, helpful, and easy to follow. Social reels could be quicker, brighter, and more playful. Product footage needed to show color, texture, and detail as accurately as possible so customers could trust what they were seeing.
When people appeared on camera, I focused on warmth and personality. The brand is polished, but it is also welcoming, creative, and fun. The visuals needed room for both.

I also built systems behind the work, including an organized Google Drive, clearer revision processes, and templates the internal team could use when I was unavailable.

Supporting a major brand refresh
During the final months of the partnership, Creative Memories began a major brand refresh in more than a decade.
I was not responsible for shaping the strategy behind the refresh, but I helped bring the new direction into the visual work through updated motion graphics, brand photography, team headshots, and refreshed content treatments.
This helped connect the evolving identity to the real products, people, and creative energy already present in the brand.

A story rooted in community
Some of my favorite projects were the Advisor Escape videos, which celebrated top-performing Creative Memories Advisors.
For one video, I combined clips from the trip with a heartfelt message from the CEO. Rather than focusing only on the destination or reward, the final story centered friendship, shared creativity, and the memories being made together.
It captured something essential about Creative Memories. The company is not only selling scrapbooking supplies. It is helping people gather, create, and preserve the experiences they want to carry with them.

What changed
Creative Memories gained a broader, more polished visual library that could support product launches, campaigns, education, social media, and the brand refresh.
The team also gained repeatable tools, a functional
in-house studio, and a clearer way to move content from idea to final delivery.
The result was more than a collection of finished assets. It was a more consistent and human way for the brand to share its products, people, and community.
What this story shows
This project shows what can happen when an internal team already has strong ideas,
but needs a creative partner to help carry them through with consistency and care.
For Creative Memories, my role was to bring the vision to life across video, photography, motion graphics, and repeatable systems so the work became easier to create and more aligned over time.
